  Richard Matt was executed near here on June 27th, 2015. He was sick and worn out from being on the lam for 3 weeks. His fellow escapee told police that Matt was Catholic and was making his way to St. Mary's to give himself up. BUT - 3 shots to the head from a high caliber machine gun pretty
  much removed half his face and all of his brains. The brave Vermont tactical border guard "took him out" tho Matt was surrounded and a helicopter hovered above. He had not pointed the 20 gauge shot gun that was loaded with bird shot at the cops. They "found the gun at his feet". So it goes.
